The Vanderburgh County Fair Association is committed to encouraging and rewarding the young adults of our Fair Community who seek to achieve their greatest potential. The Vanderburgh County Fair Association welcomes these young citizens to work alongside its members, so that we can provide the best Fair possible as we strive to accomplish our mission of: Education, Entertainment, and Exhibition.


Below you can find two different scholarships: Vanderburgh County Fair Association Scholarship and Vanderburgh County Farm Bureau Scholarship.

*For Fair Association Scholarship

  • Who may apply for this scholarship?

    The Scholarship Committee will award at least 1 (one) $500 scholarship to an incoming college freshman and at least 1  (one) $500 scholarship to a full time college student in their 2nd thru 4th year of post-secondary education. The number  (and monetary amount) awarded will be determined by the donations secured for the Vanderburgh County Fair Scholarship  fund. Applicants for these scholarships must exhibit involvement in the Vanderburgh County Fair. You may only receive a  scholarship once per category as an incoming college freshman and a college student in their 2nd through 4th year of  college. (Exception: in the 2nd through 4th year of college category, recipients may receive a scholarship more than once if  there are no other applicants). 

  • How do I apply for this scholarship?

    The candidate should complete the accompanying application and compose the required essay. The candidate must also  submit a copy of their official letter of acceptance from their school, or a copy of your next semester’s class schedule. 

  • Is there an interview for this scholarship?

    Yes, the scholarship selection committee will review the applications and will determine who should be invited for an  interview. The interview will be used as the final process to award the scholarships.

  • What is the timeline for the scholarship?

    The submission deadline is June 30th. The interviews will be scheduled in the beginning to middle of July. The recipients  will be required to attend the Vanderburgh County Fair Opening Ceremony for the public announcement and awarding of  the Scholarship. The check will be made payable to the recipient in his/her name solely and will be presented during the  public announcement. 


  • How do I submit my scholarship application and essay?
